I’ve spent the last 15 years working in the interiors industry. I was the cliche, the 15 year old that knew what she wanted to be when she grew up. I tailored my entire education to get to art school and then on to my first big break.
I steadily worked my way up in various roles and agencies. I worked on some amazing projects with large and small brands, some household names, and some boutique brands and on some lovely residential and experiential projects – I worked on projects all over the world and let me tell you, I LOVED EVERY MINUTE!
I experienced designing interiors in a variety of sectors – Retail. Exhibition, Residential. Hospitality, Experiential and Brand Activation.
It was SO exciting!!
BUT at the back of my mind I knew that there HAD to be more! Every agency I worked in taught me something different about business, design and clients… I knew that I was destined to work for myself and I had the knowledge from the multiples of years working in the industry.
Question was – did I have the guts to actually do it? Could I do it?
